Today many of the diseases associated with poor nutrition: obesity, cancer, pressure, type II diabetes, among others. However, scientific evidence shows health benefits of fruits and vegetables, which makes them an excellent choice to stay healthy.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that everyone should eat at least 5 servings of different fruits and vegetables daily.
Daily consumption of fruits and vegetables helps to achieve a healthy life at different stages of life. In childhood promotes proper growth and development, while adults can maintain or achieve the expected weight for height.
Benefits include fruits and vegetables in the diet:
• They provide fiber that help lower blood cholesterol, to regulate blood sugar and prevent constipation
• Provide color, texture and flavor to the dishes
• Strengthens the body’s defenses with its supply of vitamins
• Citrus fruits have antioxidants that protect against chronic diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Recommendations:
