Obesity is also a factor in problems related to mental and emotional health, as sufferers may have low self-esteem, loneliness, isolation, relationship problems and depression.
Finally, obesity is considered a risk factor for metabolic syndrome, which increases the risk of coronary artery disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes, this syndrome occurs when a set of risk factors converge between them.:
Central obesity or extra weight around the middle and upper body.
Insulin resistance, it is used by the body inefficiently.
Age.
Genetic factors.
Hormonal changes.
Life sendentaria and lack of exercise.
