yoga-1Take the holy days to learn how to control your breathing and relax.

Lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, eliminate depression and anxiety attacks, eliminate stress and improve concentration, are some of the benefits of meditation: a practice very simple, you only need the breath management and can be done anywhere.

So says the Mexican Javier Malcolm Padoani monk, who is also a spiritual guide. In his words, “when we meditate, there is a state of inner peace and reduce episodes of aggression and discontent with us and around us.”

However, adds Malcolm-who will be in Colombia from 20 to 29 April, is essential to have the full intention of feeling good and wanting to dedicate time to yourself.

The expert says that during meditation, breathing rather than control, is to observe. That is, to meditate is necessary to maintain a straight body position and can be done standing or sitting, then, to improve concentration is recommended to close your eyes and then look at how the breath starts to go naturally.

Exercise According to Carmen Lucia Murcia, feng shui consultant, “to achieve focus you can start with your eyes open to look at the flame of a candle, and close only when it sees.

Then attention is fixed only on breathing and gradually be thinking of a landscape: a place that is alone and quiet. “The person should concentrate on that landscape thought to be imagining, so that will be forgotten of the concerns and worries of everyday life.

With this exercise, which will take at least five minutes a day, other benefits will be achieved. For example, “if someone has to make a decision and is very fast or worried, breathing and still leave the body, the mind also becomes quiet and allows you to make better decisions,” says Murcia and ensures that this improves mood.

Even meditation can be done in difficult times. Ximena Duque, coach in professional achievement and Koradi director, says that “to connect with ourselves, even without being disturbed by external things, we will better understand what we feel and not taste our energy on the negative.”

Duke gives a specific case, “if we are driving our car and crash we have two options: get off to argue or fight and feel the bad energy that robs us of peace, or breath, calm down and think of a peaceful solution.” However, keep in mind that not always need a bad time to meditate.

This exercise can be done even on rest days to clear and further relax the mind, and better if it is surrounded by a natural environment.
