When fever or flu symptoms, you may immediately think to take drugs to relieve pain symptoms. A group of researchers says, no need to take medication when experiencing mild pain.

In conclusion the researchers say, let you feel the fever and pain allows the body’s immunity to work more efficiently. They say, called CD8 + cytotoxic T cells can kill cells infected by viruses and bacteria. And, mild fever, increase the ability of immune cells.

During the experiment, researchers at the Department of Immunology at the Roswell Park Cancer Center, Buffalo two groups of mice injected with the antigen and saw the development of T cells in mice. Then elevate the body temperature of a group of mice in two grades, and maintain normal body temperature in the other groups.

Mice with a warmer body temperature produces more cells can destroy infected cells. The findings are published in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology, November 2011.

The fever has been commonly known as the response body to fight bacteria and viruses. However, the body temperature rises until it reaches a certain heat can be detrimental if unchecked. Dr. A. MASES Adalja said, it is better to let the disease has no cure, but you should do in each case.

“Once the body temperature reaches a certain level, it would be very dangerous because it can be toxic to brain cells, triggering attacks, increased heart rate and basal metabolic rate and dehydration worsen,” he said, which also is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh.

It is advised not to let the fever with a temperature over 39 degrees Celsius without the drug. Children with high fever can cause seizures and other health risks.

“The fever may cause the patient’s condition deteriorates. If someone is experiencing a continued fever over 40 degrees Celsius, not just a virus attack. Could be more dangerous,” he said as quoted by MSNBC.
